April Sales See Smaller Decline
Late Easter sales mask a struggling economy
Major chain stores reported stronger sales figures for April 2009, however it seems unlikely that the nation's economy is ready for a swift recovery. Late Easter sales helped to augment figures, which if removed, would leave 2009 sales figures at 3% lower than 2008 sales.
