  It is my opinion that social media is very fad fueled. As a internet marketing professional I have seen the rise and fall of many social media sites. My space should be a lesson to everyone that something better can and will come around. That being said I do place a small amount of my marketing schedule towards them. There are all ready three new players up and coming that show potential. Social media will be boiled down to niches as groups of kids in high school get boiled down. Jocks don't want to hang out with nerds and my daughter doesn't want to hang out with mom and dad in a social situation, nor should they.
